This study aims to deeply explore the causes and consequences of structured
inequality in various countries, including South Korea, and to seek policy strategies to
overcome it. Inequality refers to the unfair distribution of economic resources, education,
health services, and social status, leading to a wide range of negative impacts such as
weakened social cohesion and hindered economic growth. This research emphasizes
that structured inequality is created and maintained by social institutions and structures,
not merely by individual choices or efforts. By adopting the concept of multidimensional
inequality, it captures the complex aspects of inequality across various dimensions.
Furthermore, the study analyzes the role of policy interventions and social innovation in
reducing inequality and provides specific policy recommendations. The goal is to seek
fundamental solutions to the problem of inequality and to establish a policy foundation for
building a more equitable and inclusive society.
