In 2014, Ukraine lost control of the Crimean Peninsula to Russia. This resulted in the loss of about 80% of Ukraine's naval forces, which were stationed in the port of Sevastopol on the peninsula. As a result, many of Ukraine's naval personnel defected to Russia and their ships were seized. In response, Ukraine has shifted its focus to the development and use of Maritime Drones, which have lower production costs and shorter production times compared to traditional naval vessels. This has been evident in the actions of the 385th Brigade during recent conflicts between Ukraine and Russia. The brigade has successfully carried out attacks on Sevastopol Port and the Black Sea Fleet, highlighting the effectiveness of maritime drones in overcoming Ukraine's weakened maritime power. This case serves as an example for the development of complex tactics and strategies involving both manned and unmanned military systems.
