초록

본 연구는 현대 군사훈련 체계에서 가라테의 실전적 가치를 분석하고 한국군의 근접전투훈련 프 로그램에 효과적으로 접목할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 도시전과 대테러 작전 등 특수한 전장 환경에서 근접전투능력의 중요성이 부각되는 현대전의 특성을 고려할 때, 가라테는 실전 적 격투기술과 정신수양을 겸비한 종합적 무술체계로서 군사훈련에 높은 활용가치를 지닌다. 연구 결 과, 가라테는 전투원의 신체능력 향상, 정신력 강화, 조직 훈련도구로서의 기능 등 다양한 측면에서 군 사적 가치가 있음이 확인되었다. 이를 바탕으로 기초군사훈련부터 특수전부대 훈련에 이르는 단계별 적용방안과 전문 교관 양성 체계 구축 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 한국군의 근접전투훈련 체계를 현대화하고 실전적 가치를 제고하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

This study aims to analyze the practical value of Karate in modern military training systems and propose effective methods for incorporating it into the close combat training programs of the Korean military. Given the characteristics of modern warfare, where close combat capabilities are increasingly important in specialized battlefield environments such as urban warfare and counter-terrorism operations, Karate, as a comprehensive martial art system combining practical combat techniques and mental discipline, holds high potential value for military training. The research findings confirm that Karate has significant military value in various aspects, including physical capability enhancement, mental strength development, and organizational training tools. Based on these findings, the study presents staged implementation plans ranging from basic military training to special forces training, along with proposals for establishing a professional instructor training system. This research is expected to contribute to the modernization of the Korean military’s close combat training system and enhance its practical value.
