초록

본 연구는 일명 ‘레이싱 드론’으로 알려진 FPV(First Person View) 드론이 자폭드론으로 급속 히 발전하고 확산되며 현대 전장에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 우크라이나 전쟁을 중심으로 FPV 자폭드 론의 운용 사례를 검토하고, 이를 통해 드러난 전술적 혁신과 군사적 함의를 고찰한다. FPV 자폭드론 은 저비용 고효율의 특성 덕분에 비대칭 전력으로서 큰 가치를 지니며, 특히 정밀 타격 능력과 심리전 효과 측면에서 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 FPV 자폭드론의 글로벌 확산 양상을 분석하고, 주요국의 대 응 전략을 비교 검토한다. 또한, 인공지능(AI) 기술의 접목과 군집(Swarm) 운용 기술의 발전이라는 미래 기술적 진보 방향을 예측하며, 이에 따른 윤리적, 법적 과제를 제시한다. FPV 자폭드론의 확산은 전통적인 군사력 균형을 변화시키고, 새로운 형태의 비대칭 위협을 야기하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 FPV 자폭드론에 대한 효과적인 방어체계 구축의 필요성을 강조하고, 국제사회의 규제 방안에 대한 논 의를 제안한다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 FPV 자폭드론이 현대 전쟁의 패러다임을 근본적으로 변화시키 고 있으며, 이에 대한 균형 잡힌 전략 수립의 중요성을 강조한다.

This study analyzes the rapid evolution and widespread adoption of FPV (First Person View) drones, commonly referred to as "racing drones," as kamikaze drones and their significant impact on modern battlefields. Centered on the Ukraine war, it examines operational cases of FPV kamikaze drones, highlighting tactical innovations and military implications. These drones, renowned for their low cost and high efficiency, have proven invaluable as asymmetric warfare assets, particularly for precision strikes and psychological operations. The research explores the global proliferation of FPV kamikaze drones and compares the response strategies of major nations. It also forecasts future advancements, including the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and swarm operation technologies, while addressing associated ethical and legal challenges. The spread of FPV kamikaze drones is reshaping traditional military power dynamics and creating new forms of asymmetric threats. Accordingly, this study underscores the necessity of establishing effective countermeasures against FPV kamikaze drones and advocates for discussions on international regulatory frameworks. In conclusion, this research reveals how FPV kamikaze drones are fundamentally altering the paradigm of modern warfare and emphasizes the importance of developing balanced strategies to address this evolving technology.
